11 miles in the rain

finally after illness and that bloody cough going I'm free to run again, because of the long rest i had no aches and pains, felt great and trekked 11 miles around quorn, mountsorrell and loughborough,

the conditions were great, a little drizzle with a light wind, probably my favourite conditions,

monday stroll

Monday comes round quick and after the weekends football, i like to go out for a warm down run, did a just under 4 mile run, not far but a good way to set me off for the week ahead,

i made the mistake of wearing to thick clothing and was boiling on my journey, so planning for future runs will be important,

also i registered for the adidas half marathon at silverstone today, which is only 2 weeks on Sunday,

retro run

I'm back, after the man flu stopped me going out, i managed a 3.55 miler around woodthorpe and back, probably the easiest run I've done to date but an important one, as its been nearly 12 days since i last got out,

I've called this the retro run because i wore my 80s tracksters from Ron hill, and with my heavy stubble and floppy hair, it looked like i had been back into time warp, lol, one thing i did get out of this run was my 1st wolf whistle, and only on the 2nd corner as well, was it the beard, was it Ron hill or is she blind????

fingers crossed for a flurry of runs in the next few weeks, x peace

11 miles done

all planned and completed, this 11 mile run around quorn, with burf was enjoyable but proved tough running up so hills later in the run, we did decide to slower the pace, but we tend to push each other, and averaged a decent 7.3 min miles, was looking for a 8 ish min miles

a days rest tomoz, then footie sat, and hopefully a massive one Sunday, fingers crossed

back on my bike

hi, had to and i mean had to get out for a short run, 2 reasons really, 1, being rested for 2 days i needed to go and 2, i needed to find out if Sundays run was a 1 off,

i ran 6.5 miles around the quorn loop, and to my delight it went brill, i was very pleased as i felt fresh and could of done a few more miles quite easily, but Kerry had put my dinner in, and i was starving, lol

ill be out Thurs night for a 10-12 miler with the burf,

sunday killer run

Planned a 16 miler, and all week was really looking forward to it, but a full 90 Min's on the Saturday game on a bog heap, meant very stiff legs, back and all sorts when i woke up Sunday morning,

i decided that i would still set off on the route and see how it goes, and it didn't go well, the legs did not want to work, my head was fuzzy, so i decided a back up route around quorn, managed 9.14 miles, but in a very slow time, it was to date the hardest run yet,

i did stop a few times for a rest and stretch, much needed too, i know that this is a little set back, but when u fall off Ur bike, get back on, that's my motto

cheers x
