all planned and completed, this 11 mile run around quorn, with burf was enjoyable but proved tough running up so hills later in the run, we did decide to slower the pace, but we tend to push each other, and averaged a decent 7.3 min miles, was looking for a 8 ish min miles

back on my bike
hi, had to and i mean had to get out for a short run, 2 reasons really, 1, being rested for 2 days i needed to go and 2, i needed to find out if Sundays run was a 1 off,
i ran 6.5 miles around the quorn loop, and to my delight it went brill, i was very pleased as i felt fresh and could of done a few more miles quite easily, but Kerry had put my dinner in, and i was starving, lol
ill be out Thurs night for a 10-12 miler with the burf,

sunday killer run
Planned a 16 miler, and all week was really looking forward to it, but a full 90 Min's on the Saturday game on a bog heap, meant very stiff legs, back and all sorts when i woke up Sunday morning,
i decided that i would still set off on the route and see how it goes, and it didn't go well, the legs did not want to work, my head was fuzzy, so i decided a back up route around quorn, managed 9.14 miles, but in a very slow time, it was to date the hardest run yet,

i did stop a few times for a rest and stretch, much needed too, i know that this is a little set back, but when u fall off Ur bike, get back on, that's my motto
cheers x

2.5 miles and back twice run
change of tactics, planned a route for 2.5 miles to quorn, then ran the same way back, so 5 miles, then did another 2.5 miles the other way to forest gate, then back again,
http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/27214256
quite enjoyed it, ran 10 miles in 74 Min's, so 7.4 min miles, steady, but the 10 miles was easy, getting used to the larger runs these days,
me and burf ran this route, in the cold cold air,
thanks

buzzing, needed to get out again
from yesterdays half marathon run, i felt like i had achieved something and was quite proud of myself, so i decided to go out again today for a cheeky 5 miler around the back of shelthorpe, into quorn going through woodthorpe, its a nice relaxed run, quite quick though,
towards the end of the dirt track in the distance i saw a parked car in the middle of the woods, 1st though was it doggers, then 2nd thought was it youths, but as i got closer and faster it was only a burnt out old shit box, very disappointed it was not doggers, might of fancied my chances, lol
got home a few sits up with the wife, then dinner, perfect, check the route out here

sunday village run
after calling time on my Sunday football days, i now have more time for my runs, me and mickey both decided that a big one was required and we both set records for our longest runs, with not really bothering with the time,
started in lough, back route to quorn, through quorn in sorrell, Sharp left towards sileby up slash very wet lane, back into barrow, through into quorn back into lough, all at a so called Sunday pace, felt great as i had plenty left in the tank for more miles, mickey clocked in 11 and a half miles while i managed over a half marathon at 13.25 miles, both were quite pleased with our efforts, check out our route here
http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/27044596
with 12 weeks to go, and the silverstone race 1st up, there will be plenty more runs to talk about, started to really enjoy the runs and all this was against a battling strong wind,

out of all the runs i have completed so far this was my best one and i felt great all the way round, properly wished now i had gone on longer, on the way round i was reflecting on my glory days as a quorn under 18 player, only 13 years ago, wow,
looking forward to my next venture tomorrow
